To whom this may concern, We are currently in the production of making an 8 minute, movie style, scripted nerf war with about 10-15 people. I have just gotten 3DS Max 2010 which will allow me to make even more realistic video effects. Right now, we are currently in the thinking stage (next scripting then practicing then shooting then editing). It will be shot with our Canon HG20 High-Definition 1080i Camcorder. It will be based all around our neighborhood, and we have already got little parts thought of. Muzzle flashes will be added, but, now more realistically, not on each shot. Muzzle flashes usually only happen at the first shot of the clip is fired and the last. So the rest will just be smoke. Now, the 3DS max program I am talking about allows me to "warp" a scene. Basically I can add craters from explosions, make a building collapse, ect. We have gotten this idea from DJNewlin (not sure if that is how you spell it because I haven't gone on Steam in a while). So, we will be shooting this over spring break (hopefully by then the scripting will be done!) and then editing on weekends or if we finish shooting early then over spring break. So please be patient because we will most likely not be coming out with any new Nerf Wars until this one is done. So here is what our timframe looks like: (3-5-2010): Nerf thoughts are in process and we are trying to get a clear idea of what we're going to do. (About 3-10-2010): Scripting will be started on the movie and cinemetography will be though of. (About 3-14-2010): Scripting should be finished by now and cinemetography is basically done. (About 3-15-2010): Movie titles are being created (Basically BrightLiteFilms is using Adobe After Effects CS4 to make some visual title intros to the movie and end sequences) (About 3-17-2010): All of the actors should be casted and ready to shoot by now, but all of the camera equipment we need to by most likely hasn't arived yet. (About 3-20-2010): Camera equipment has most likely arrived by now, and we are filming some of the intro titles that start it the housees with just the two of us. (About 3-31-2010): Still just waiting for spring break or finishing anything up that hasn't been done yet. (About 4-2-2010): First filming day. (About 4-3-10): Second filming day. (About 4-4-10): Third filming day. (About 4-5-10): Fourth filming day. By now, all of the filming should hopefully be done. If not, we will extend the filming days and edit the movie later. (About 4-6-10 through 4-12-10): All of these days are either editing days, or extended filming days. (About 4-15-10): The movie should be filmed, edited, and converted and ready to post to YouTube. (About 4-17-10): It should be uploaded by now. |
